Fontaine, Q95 sued for libel

Thompson Fontaine and Q95 Radio are being sued by the Prime Minister for allegations that Government sold a passport to a terrorist. Senoir Council Anthony Astaphan dismissed claims by Fontaine that the allegations were true.

A man from Tarish Pit has been sentenced to 7 years in Stock Farm for a series of thefts in 2011. Chester Valmond was arrested on Christmas Eve and charged with 12 counts of theft.

World Bank to fund east coast roads?

PM Skerrit has said Government might go to the World Bank to fund major east coast road works. He said it would be better to get funding for a major redesign, rather than simply patch-up the roads. Dominica's east coast road network was badly hit by adverse weather in 2011.
