Check your stats
I always emphasize the importance of regularly checking your sites statistics. This is more then important if you are running an online advertising campaign. You cant simply judge the effectiveness of you banner advert by an increase in business. The function of the banner advert is to drive traffic to your site. A banner on a high-traffic site like aVirtualDominica.com can double your traffic, but are you converting that traffic into business?
Use your site statistics to see what traffic is coming to your site, and more importantly, what people are doing when they get there. With a decent stats package you can see how long people stayed on your site, and which pages they visited while there. Then compare that with your pre-campaign traffic. If youre not converting that extra traffic into business, ask yourself why.

New site review: larobecreole.com
I love technologically adept websites, and any that serves dynamic content via ColdFusion or PHP is my kind of site. The problem with this site is that little of the technology is appropriate - its trying to position itself as a global portal but in doing so it fails to provide even basic information visitors to a restaurant website might expect.
Slow to load, it frequently left me really confused. Much of the material is of no relevance at all. Why for example are there no details of the menu, or any recipes or even photos from Dominica? It seems to be a site that more satisfies the desires of the designers than the needs of the client.
Oh, and restaurant isnt spelled resturant.
Site of the week: Tvtome.com
Its not dissimilar to that other favourite site of mine, IMDB.com, its a fascinating database of TV shows, both current and past.
