The recently opened new west bridge is just part of a plan to improve and develop Roseau, said Dominica's Minister for Urban Development, J Timothy. Included in the plan are bus terminals around the city to ease traffic congestion, and a promenade along the Roseau river.

The Western Union office in central Roseau was robbed at gunpoint this morning. Two armed masked men entered the building at 7:30am as employees were opening the office.

Former AG Bernard Wiltshire has been arrested on charges of conspiracy of forging passports. Several other people were also arrested and charged. Wiltshire was released on $50,000 bail.
